Inversi (Inverted Word Order) di soal TOEFL

Kalau sebuah soal Structure terlihat "terbalik" — kata kerja mendahului subjek — hampir pasti sedang menguji inversi. Kabar baiknya: pemicunya cuma segelintir dan sangat mudah dikenali di awal kalimat.

Cara cepat mengerjakan

Lihat kata pertama kalimat. Kalau termasuk daftar di atas → jawaban yang benar berpola kata bantu + subjek + kata kerja. Kalau pilihan jawaban ada yang berbentuk did she pass dan she passed, pembuka negatif menuntut yang pertama. Satu-satunya jebakan tambahan: inversi TIDAK terjadi di noun clause — The lecture explained how volcanoes form (bukan how do volcanoes form).
